“Intersectional leaders will transform the dynamics of power of the world.”

― Dr. Virginia Lacayo

Who are Intersectional Leaders?

Intersectional leaders are visionary leaders, serving as CEOs, Executive Directors and/or Founders, who deeply believe in social justice. They proudly self-identify as women and come from historically marginalized groups. Intersectional leaders are driven to challenge traditional leadership approaches and are committed to leveraging their power and influence to create systemic change in their organization, industry, and/or community. They know first-hand the systemic issues that perpetuate oppression. Now, they have a deep calling to use their authority and resources to transform the systems they are part of.

A Different Kind of Executive Coaching

Based on her experience as a social change expert, complexity scientist, mindset and systemic leadership coach, Latina, feminist, and lifelong activist, Dr. Virginia Lacayo has developed an executive coaching experience specifically designed for intersectional leaders. Going well beyond traditional performance-based coaching, her approach combines the three unique paradigms necessary for leading systemic change: feminism, neuroscience, and complexity science. Through an initial group intensive, then 1:1 coaching sessions, Dr. Lacayo works with these leaders to expand their social consciousness, teach them systemic leadership skills, and develop an “Indomable” mindset.

Are you ready to be an Intersectional leader?

  • Do you believe in social justice and have always been committed to contributing resources, time, and energy to create a more just and equitable environment wherever you are?

  • Do you now have the power and influence to lead significant change but feel insecure, overwhelmed, or confused about how to go about it?

  • Are you tired of feeling you have to lead like a man to be taken seriously?

  • Are you tired of adapting to systems that don’t serve you or the people you are leading?

  • Do you still feel a misfit despite having reached a high level of authority?

  • Do you have strong emotions  (anger, frustration, fear, self-doubt, anxiety, etc.) that either control you or are been used by others to control you?

  • Do you have a high level of consciousness and sometimes feel lonely, unchallenged, misunderstood, or unseen?

  • Because of your powerful presence, do most people assume you have it all figured out?

  • Is your level of authority and confidence perceived as intimidating? Does that make it hard for you to find people courageous enough to challenge you and tell you the “truth”?

  • Do you still doubt yourself when so-called experts tell you “It doesn’t work that way” or “That will never work here”?
